Recipe Analysis
Recipes are analyzed using one of the industries top-rated professional clinical software programs. The database contains over 33,000 foods and tracks 167 nutrients, providing one of the most complete and accurate nutritional analysis programs available.
The database includes USDA nutrient data that uses the Atwater Conversion Factors for Protein, Carbohydrates and Fats. Atwater Conversion Factors take into consideration that different types of foods provide different amounts of food energy per gram. For example the carbohydrates in eggs provide 3.68 calories per gram versus 4.12 calories per gram in macaroni. This is more accurate than the popular AOAC-approved 4 calories per gram for all carbohydrates. The standard AOAC 4-4-9 method is used on all non-USDA foods in the database.
The recipe analysis report layout can be customized to your specifications, containing only the nutrient information needed in your application. This frees up your time and staff. You simply copy and paste the customized report into your documents.
Your report can contain:
- Nutrient amounts only
- Nutrients amounts with a list of the recipe ingredients
- Nutrient amounts with both ingredients and recipe instructions
